Courses :: Tai Chi and Qigong Summer School Info

 

In a nutshell: a rewarding course enabling you to understand and enjoy Tai Chi and Qigong to the fullest.

Includes group learning and practice, presentations, course work, discussion, training in Tai Chi and Qigong. Whilst the curriculum is meant to give a good basic understanding, the emphasis will be on learning that is interesting, enjoyable and creative. A detailed course handbook will be sent out prior to the beginning of the course.

Typical Day
9-10am Personal practice time
10-10.30am Qigong session
10.30-11.30am Qigong and Qi Theory: Five Elements and Meridians
11-30am Tea break
12-1pm Qi Theory: Five Elements and Meridians
1-2.30pm Lunch
2.30-3.15pm Tai Chi Fundamentals (posture/alignment)
3.15 Tea Break
3.30-4.45pm Tai Chi Fundamentals (posture/alignment)
4.45-5pm Sharing and feedback
5-7pm Tutorials and further training
7pm Evening meal

There will be a free day during the week.

Tai
Chi and Qigong: Matthew Rochford (Director of The School), Chris Waters (10 years experience) and Joe Salmon (10 years experience).
Chi Theory: Michael Potter and Mark Edlund Plater (highly experienced and qualified practitioners of Chinese Medicine).

Course work
Some course work. This is typically 1 essay during the course. There is a written exam at the end of the course.
